We have had a big focus on science this half term and have carried out a number of experiments.  We followed in the footsteps of Michael Faraday, learning that for a flame to stay ignited it needs oxygen.  We have made a 'fire extinguisher', creating carbon dioxide which we have found out is heavier than the air around us.  We have also seen the impact of creating carbon dioxide using some rubber gloves, vinegar and bicarbonate of soda.
